Female Squirting

We will admit, it's not the sexiest of words but it is a beautiful experience!

Unfortunately squirting has been commonly viewed as taboo, often ignored or dismissed altogether by mainstream media and society at large but times are changing and open conversations around sex are more commonplace and our knowledge of the body and all of it’s functions is increasing!  Before we get into it, female squirting is a natural and normal phenomenon that occurs during sexual arousal.

Okay, so women can ejaculate! They most certainly can! The G-Spot (the Goddess Spot) is the female prostate and female ejaculation is prostatic fluid.

So what exactly is female squirting and why do so many women who experience it feel confused and ashamed? And yes!  Every woman can experience squirting.  It's not magic, it's anatomy!  It just takes some practice, LOTS of patience and understanding of your body.

Squirting is the release of prostatic fluid from a vulva owner during sex, when the G-Spot (vulva owner’s prostate) is engorged after lots of stimulation. To squirt, a penis or toy has to be out of the vulva.  This fluid which can sometimes be mistaken for pee is actually ejaculate and can range from a few drops to a larger amount, and may be clear or milky in color (known as 'nectar of the Gods' in ancient India).

So where is this fluid coming from?  The tissues that surround your Skene's glands (located at the bottom of the urethra) swell in response to sexual stimulation. These glands secrete fluid during sexual arousal, which helps with lubrication. This is the nectar of the Gods.

We'd just like to note here, orgasm and ejaculation are 2 different functions.  Ejaculation is a release of fluid.  Orgasm is pleasure!  You can do both at the same time or one and the other.  There is no right or wrong!  Squirting occurs through clitoral stimulation, G-spot stimulation, or a combination of the two. It can also happen without orgasms.

It is important that we educate ourselves and others about female squirting, and work towards eliminating the negative stigma around it. By understanding it as a natural part of female sexuality and acknowledging the pleasure it can bring, we can move towards a more sex-positive and inclusive society.

Let it go and let it flow.  It might feel like peeing… resist clenching and fear and let it go and flow.

You deserve pleasure…. Go out there and practice… if you haven’t already, you can get there.  Happy Squirting if you’re partnered up with a considerate and curious partner or flying solo.
